Welcome to Glacier Lodge 228. You’re in the heart of Whistler’s Upper Village, steps from the Blackcomb Gondola, with a 24/7 concierge downstairs and the village at your doorstep. We’re delighted to host you.
Fully stocked and ready to cook in, have a look through the cupboards to get your bearings. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and popcorn are provided, along with spices and oil, and all the cutlery, pots, pans and utensils are in the cupboards and drawers.
The bedroom has a Queen Murphy bed alongside the King. To open it, pull the two handles on the white doors down, then pull the black metal leg rail down. It’s already made up, and the pillows are in the bedroom closet.
The living room sofa opens into a Queen bed. Reach under the front of the frame and pull the base out, take out the mattress topper, sheets and pillows, then drop the backrest flat. The duvet is in the bedroom closet.
It’s a smart TV, use the remote on the coffee table to sign in to your own streaming accounts.
There are two gas fireplaces. The living-room one follows the instructions printed on it, and the bedroom one switches on at the top-right corner. Both add heat on top of the baseboard heaters.
The baseboard heaters are set on the white wall thermostats, and the unit has air conditioning for cooling.
A washer and dryer are in the common laundry a few steps out the front door to the left. It’s $3 per load, coins or card, and detergent is in the main-floor vending machines.
The complex has a heated outdoor pool and two outdoor hot tubs, reached through the door across from the front desk on the lobby level. They’re currently closed for renovation and due to reopen in late November 2026. Pool and hot tub towels are available from the front desk, with a credit-card deposit so they make their way back.
There’s a full gym in the building, when you come in the front door, head right past the vending machines and the gym is on the left.
A 24/7 concierge is at the front desk for anything building- or Whistler-related. The main floor also has the Purple Panda restaurant, a liquor store, a spa, and a ski rental shop.
Drop your skis and snowboards with the ski concierge, to the right of the lobby entrance, free of charge for your stay. They’re open until 6 PM, after that the front desk stores gear in the lobby storage room.
Underground parking is $25/day, buy a ticket at the machine in the lobby and register your plate on arrival. Clearance is about 6’8". Free street parking is available on Spearhead Drive, about an 8-minute walk.
Take all garbage to the garbage room by the entrance of the underground parking.
Everything’s walkable from the lobby, the gondola, groceries and great food are all just steps away.
Upper Village Market is directly across the street. For a bigger shop, the village markets are a short walk or shuttle away.
You’re a 1 to 2 minute walk from the Blackcomb Gondola, out the front door, head right to the corner of the building, then right again and it’s straight ahead.
A free shuttle loops the village year-round, and the front desk can point you to the nearest stop.
