We’re so glad you’re here. This is a cosy one-bedroom that lives comfortably for two and sleeps up to four. We love a little colour, so you’ll find work from local BC artists throughout the suite. Everything you need for a smooth stay is below.
The stove and oven are electric and straightforward. The only trick with the oven is the stop / clear button, which is small and tucked into the bottom row. A French press is on the counter, and a full-size drip maker is in the bottom drawer beside the fridge with the filters. For the dishwasher, the detergent pods are under the sink, press Normal (second from the left) then Start. You’ll also find a microwave and kettle on the counter, and a toaster in the lower corner cabinet.
The queen is a Posturepedic electric adjustable mattress, the head (not the foot) raises into a sitting position for reading. The controller is hardwired into one of the bedside tables. Extra blankets are in the closet.
Pull the backrest forward until it clicks and lies flat. Under the seat cushions are two straps, pull them to extend the bed. Pillows are in the bedroom closet; sheets and duvet are in the bottom drawer of the dresser.
The TV runs on a Roku stick. Turn it on and sign in with your own streaming accounts. For sound, there’s a black box under the TV, flip the metal switch on it to turn the audio on.
Heat is electric baseboard. The thermostat for the living, dining and kitchen area is on the teal wall; the bedroom thermostat is on the wall immediately to your right as you enter. Please set both thermostats to 15°C whenever you head out for the day and at check-out.
This is a wood-burning fireplace, and we ask that you use Presto-style logs only. Logs aren’t stocked in the suite, so if you’d like a fire you can pick some up at Creekside Market or the hardware store in Function Junction. Open the flue before lighting (otherwise smoke will set off the alarm), then close it again before you leave.
The little patio backs onto a quiet green space, a lovely spot for summer barbecuing. The patio is not a bike-storage area, and bikes can’t be rolled through the carpeted common hallways. Thank you for keeping the shared spaces clean.
The washer and dryer are in the storage room just outside the front door, the same room used for winter ski and board storage. There’s a separate, labelled key for it. Please don’t overfill the machines as it can damage them. Detergent is on the floor in front of the washer.
Whistler runs a strict recycling and composting program. The garbage and recycling room is at the far end of the parking lot in front of the complex, on your left as you face the building.
You’re in Creekside, a quieter base with its own gondola, just down the corridor from Whistler Village.
Creekside Market is the closest, an easy walk. In the Village you’ll also find Nesters Market and Fresh St. Market for a bigger shop.
The Creekside Gondola is your nearest lift and a calmer way up the mountain than the Village base. Lift tickets are best bought ahead at whistlerblackcomb.com. The PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola between Whistler and Blackcomb is worth a ride in any season.
Whistler transit runs the Creekside to Village corridor, and a free shuttle connects the two. For driving, lift-base and day-use parking are signed around the Creekside lot.
